Right car for Paros roads
Compact automatics for the Parikia–Naoussa corridor; SUVs and crossovers for sandy tracks to Faragas, Glyfades, or Monastiri beach.
No two beaches look alike in Paros. A car lets you move between Cycladic villages, turquoise coves, and historic churches on your own timetable.

One of the oldest and best-preserved Byzantine churches in Greece, right in the heart of Parikia — easy 5-minute walk from the port car-park.

Cosmopolitan harbor with seafood tavernas, boutiques, and Venetian castle ruins — the Cyclades' most photogenic village. Park outside the pedestrian centre and walk in.

Famous granite-sculpted rock formations creating natural pools and sheltered coves — unique in the Cyclades. Best reached by car + short walk from Naoussa.

Inland Cycladic gem with marble-paved lanes, panoramic views, and the Church of Agia Triada. A cool, quiet contrast to the coast.

Long sandy stretch on the east coast with consistent Meltemi winds — the windsurfing and kitesurfing capital of Paros.
Short distances, spectacular payoffs — every corner of the island is within 30 minutes.

15 min drive + 5 min ferry from Pounta
Drive to Pounta, board the car ferry to Antiparos, and explore its charming village, sea caves, and quieter beaches — a perfect full-day loop.

30–40 min drive total
Start at Naoussa harbour, drive to Kolymbithres for a swim, then continue to Monastiri beach for lunch at a beachfront taverna — back by midday.

15–20 min one way
Wind through the island's heart to Lefkes, then detour to the ancient Marathi quarries where Parian marble was extracted for ancient Greek sculpture.

20–35 min one way
Quiet fishing villages, turquoise bays, and authentic tavernas without the summer crowds. Ideal for an early-morning drive before the beach fills up.
Paros is compact — plan multiple stops
No destination exceeds 30 minutes. Combine two or three locations per half-day; you'll never feel rushed.
Village centres are pedestrian-only
Park in the designated lots at the edge of Parikia old town, Naoussa, and Lefkes — blue 'P' signs mark them clearly.
Taking the car to Antiparos
Drive to Pounta (south of Parikia) and board the 5-minute car ferry. Confirm with your supplier at booking so it's noted in the contract.
Airport & port handover
Share your flight (PAS) or ferry arrival time so staff can have the car curbside and minimise paperwork on arrival.
Unpaved beach tracks
Paths to Faragas, Glyfades, and some north-coast coves are gravel. Book an SUV or crossover if these are on your list.
Night driving
Paros has limited street lighting outside main roads. Drive slowly after dark and watch for pedestrians on the road shoulder.
Meltemi wind on east coast
In summer the Meltemi can be strong on the road to Golden Beach. Keep speed moderate on exposed stretches.
Fuel & cash for villages
Fill up in Parikia or Naoussa before heading inland. Keep a little cash for remote tavernas and kiosks — cards accepted almost everywhere on the main strip.
Use the 'No Deposit' filter on our search page to instantly see only cars available without a security deposit. Every result includes Premium Insurance (Zero Excess) — real, direct cover from the local supplier, nothing blocked on your card, no credit card required — or comes from a partner accepting debit cards and cash.
Paros is an island, so all rentals start and end with the same supplier. Pickup and return are available at Paros Airport (PAS), Paros Port (Parikia), or your hotel. There is no one-way drop-off to another Greek island. If you arrive by air and depart by ferry (or vice versa), mention it in your booking and we will arrange accordingly.
We offer pickup at Paros Airport (PAS), Paros Port in Parikia, and most hotels and villas across the island including Naoussa, Aliki, and Piso Livadi. Add your preferred pickup point and arrival details in the booking notes.
Drivers with a valid licence from the EU, UK, USA, Canada, or Australia do not need an International Driving Permit. For licences issued in non-Latin scripts (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic), an International Permit is required alongside your original licence.
The standard minimum age is 21 with at least one year of driving experience. Some categories like SUVs or larger vehicles may require drivers to be 25. A young driver surcharge may apply for 21–24 year olds — the no-credit-card and zero-deposit policy with Premium Insurance still applies.
Yes — the ferry crossing from Pounta to Antiparos takes just 7 minutes and most of our local partners permit it. Mention it in your booking notes so we can confirm that your insurance coverage extends to the crossing before you go.
In peak season the centres of both towns are mostly pedestrian. Large free public car parks sit just a 5-minute walk from each harbour. Arrive before 10:00 in July and August to secure a spot. Compact cars are much easier to manoeuvre through village outskirts and narrow alleyways.
Paros is one of the most popular summer destinations in Greece — demand regularly exceeds supply in July and August. Book at least 2–3 months in advance for peak season to secure your preferred car and best price. For shoulder season (May, June, September), 3–4 weeks ahead is usually enough.
Book in minutes, choose flexible insurance, and pick up your car at the airport, the port, or your hotel.
