Both centres are closed to traffic in peak season, but large free car parks sit a five-minute walk from each harbour. Arrive before 10:00 in July and August to find a space. A compact car is far easier on the narrow lanes around the edge of the old towns.
Two to three months ahead for July and August — Paros is one of the busiest islands in the Cyclades and demand outruns the local fleet every summer. In May, June and September three or four weeks is usually enough to get the car you want at the price you want.
